The Regional Press Development Institute (RPDI) and the EU Anti-Corruption Initiative in Ukraine (EUACI) invite to participate in the X Investigative Journalism Conference, which will be held on 7-9 December in Kyiv.
The purpose of the conference is to develop and popularize investigative journalism in Ukraine, contribute to networking of Ukrainian investigative journalists and integrate them into the world professional community.
Among the speakers are well-known Ukrainian and foreign journalists-investigators and experts.
Eka Tkeshelashvili, the Head of the European Anti-Corruption Initiative will also deliver a speech at the conference on Saturday, 8 December.
The Conference provides panel discussions, lectures, hands-on zones, and additional activities. Most sections will be held in three parallel streams.
This year the conference will focus on the issues of elections, electoral legislation, opportunities and risks in the work of journalists during the elections.
Key thematic areas:
• party finances – what the investigative journalists should know;
• propaganda and manipulation of public opinion: how to investigate it;
• experience of investigating abuse during election campaigns;
• work with pre-election leaks of information;
• experience in visualization of journalistic investigations related to elections and financing of political parties;
• digital and physical security of journalists, protection of sources.
