In 2020, the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) faced various challenges. Among them – the restructuring of the entire Agency after its reboot and the decision of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, which has blocked the work of the NACP.
At the same time, despite these difficulties in 2020 , the NACP managed to reach a number of achievements, which are in line with the approved efficiency indicators.
Among the key results of the work:
- materials on undeclared property worth almost 27 million euro has been sent to law enforcement;
- The Verkhovna Rada approved in the first reading the draft of the Anti-Corruption Strategy for 2021–2025 developed by the NACP;
- the Register of reports of political parties POLITDATA was developed and launched;
- anti-corruption expertise was conducted for the first time. Thus, in 2020, there were performed 42 anti-corruption examinations of draft laws and draft resolutions of the Government;
- updated Register of declarations, making the Register much more convenient for declarants.

The EU Anti-Corruption Initiative (EUACI) has been a strong supporter of ensuring the effectiveness of the corruption prevention institutional mechanisms since the start of the program in Ukraine. The EUACI continues to provide significant technical assistance to the NACP, which helps build the efficiency and capacity of the NACP on strategic and tactical levels.
