Sending a request to the City Council, reporting about corruption, paying a parking fine from any place ? All these services and more are available for citizens of Zhytomyr via the e-Reception Hall.
On 3 April, the presentation of the e-Reception Hall of the Zhytomyr City Council took place. The new digital tool is provided by the EU Anti-Corruption Initiative as part of the "Integrity Cities" project. Zhytomyr is the third city to introduce this innovative IT solution.
In 2023, the city council departments and deputies processed 20,000 applications from the citizens. This means that the city's residents are actively involved in the city's governance process and with the e-Reception Hall this communication will be further supported.
E-reception Hall is a unified tool for fast and transparent communication with the local authorities. It reduces the time required for document workflows and enhances the accessibility of services for city residents.
In his welcoming speech, Allan Pagh Kristensen, the Head of the EUACI, highlighted key advantages for citizens:
`E-reception Hall is one of the digital tools that are not only making life easier for lots of people, but also closing gaps for corruption. Now everyone in Zhytomyr can have a private digital area to communicate with the members of the City Council and officials. We believe that this electronic tool will make Zhytomyr more digital and transparent. Now the main task is to make citizens aware about this new possibility.`
