On 2 February in Chernivtsi, the EU Anti-Corruption Initiative in collaboration with the Chernivtsi City Council presented the web platform e-Reception Hall during the public discussion "Implementation of IT Technologies: A Step Towards Integrity in Local Government."
E-Reception is a unique tool that reduces the time required for document workflows and enhances the accessibility of services for city residents. Chernivtsi is the second city in Ukraine to adopt this innovative IT solution for the City Council with the EUACI support. Chervonograd was the first city to implement the web platform within the Integrity Cities component. Two more cities are in progress.
In his welcoming speech, Allan Pagh Kristensen, the Head of the EUACI, underscored the importance of digitalization and integrity of services for citizens.

"The system will simplify communication with the city administration, making it faster, smarter, and reducing human factors that pose corruption risks. It's not just a digital tool; behind it are administrators and public officials who had to adapt schemes and administrative procedures to this new form of communication. Now the tool is there, and we need to make sure that it will be used. This system will be successful only if people are aware and use it,’ concluded the EUACI’s Head.
Yevhenii Makhovikov, Deputy City Mayor, explained that document flow and communication channels with the community have needed improvement and development from the very beginning.
"The E-Reception Hall is the next stage in our development. It provides residents with an opportunity to see the authorities' actions and tasks without leaving their homes," emphasized the Deputy City Mayor.
During the public discussion, Dmytro Yakymchuk, Senior Project Manager for Integrity and Recovery at EUACI, highlighted the program’s main activities in digitalization of public services in cities and at the national level.
Experts and local government representatives discussed IT professionals' engagement to accelerate transparent processes.
